People

The company currently has four directors, Ibrahim Mia, Yahya Mia, Professor Henry Vorster (Chairman) and Werner van Rhyn.

Ibrahim Mia and Yahya Mia manage the commercial interests of the land owners and are experienced and skilled businessmen with an exceptional track record of successful business undertakings. They serve on numerous company boards.

Professor Vorster is a practicing attorney admitted as both a South African and Australian lawyer (NSW). He is currently associated in South Africa with the Bryanston Law Firm of Faber Goertz Ellis. He is a visiting professor at the University of Johannesburg, a post held for more than 20 years, where he presents a course leading to a post-graduate qualification in tax law. He is the current Chair of the Tax Committee of the Law Society of South Africa and a member of the Tax Committee of the Law Society of the Northern Provinces. He has acted as a judge in the High Court of South Africa. Professor Vorster served on numerous listed and unlisted company boards.Prof Vorster currently serves as the non-executive chairperson of Waterval.

Werner van Rhyn, a qualified quantity surveyor and MBA graduate, has more than 25 years experience in the property industry. Werner has been instrumental in the conceptualisation and implementation of the master development plan for the development of Farm Waterval over the past twelve years.

Clive Weil, B Econ (Hons) has had more than 40 years of top level executive experience both in South Africa and abroad. He serves as an advisor and strategic consultant to WIC and its affiliates. Prior to launching his own consulting business in 1993, Clive occupied CEO positions within the food manufacturing, international trading, supermarket, cash & carry wholesale and discounting industries during a long and successful business career.

Willie Vos, part of the executive team of WMOC, is an experienced property developer with more than 15 years experience in residential property developments and holds a Masters degree in Business Management. Willie is responsible for all commercial and residential developments undertaken by WIC.

Brian Landman, is a chartered accountant with 8 years of finance experience across both private and public sectors locally and internationally. Brian, is part of the executive team of WMOC ensuring the overall management of completed and future developments on Farm Waterval.

This small but experienced management team collectively possesses the necessary skills, entrepreneurial flair and resilience, with the support of its business partners, to build a world class business that will become a leading property holding and development company in Africa.
