Social Investments

The controlling shareholders of WIC take daily responsibility for the training, and in some instances, feeding and sheltering of more than 100 000 school children.

WIC is also an active partner in the respective social investment initiatives of its various business partners. Notably, WIC has collaborated with Group Five and the DBSA to open a training school on Farm Waterval where technicians and builders are being equipped with key skills and qualifications.

WIC was also instrumental in developing the largest operational cemetery in South Africa with Johannesburg City Parks. The cemetery has been designed to accommodate over 500 000 burials.

WIC is in the process of concluding an agreement with a private operator to establish a private cemetery (complimentary to the existing public cemetery) that will far exceed local industry standards and shall ultimately provide for a serene final resting place that epitomises beauty and tranquillity.

The "Children of Fire" and the "WWF Rhino Fund" are two charitable organisations which Ad Outpost is proud to support currently, either by means of financial aid or exposure on some of our many billboards around the country. We feel it is important to assist, protect and uplift those less fortunate and who are less likely to do so themselves.
